10th Year Reunion @ AC Barker

Hey Guys!
Its been 10 years since we left Barker. Lets all come together for some good old fun and laughter as we reminiscence our good old Barker days.
Date: Saturday 6th Dec 2008
Venue: ACS Barker Campus
Time: 6.30pm (Registration and pre-event)
7.00 pm onwards (Dinner and Programme)

Details of the event should be out pretty soon..so hang in there while some matters are ironed out and do spread the word around. Most probably for now, it will be held within early December period

The Important Link

Hi Guys,
It has been quite awhile since I last updated yah..
Thus far, there is a lukewarm response for the committee, though I am pleased to know that the news is spreading that there is going to be a reunion.
I believe that the best advertisement is through the word of mouth, therefore the important link in this event, is not me, but the class agents. Why do I say so? This group of pple will be the ones further sharing and disseminating important information to their classmates. Details like event day when ah, theme and dress code wat ah, coupons purchase where to get from ah, yaddah, yaddah. So if you're keen to be one of the 8 class agents, do let me noe =)
Thank you to those who have sent me emails, facebook messages of enouragement and messages of curiousity with regards to the event details.

The Pillars

How can the committee function without the pillars?

Our Supporting Committee

Our supporting committee will form just as an important group where they are responsible for collating names and promoting to their respective classmates of the event and any further developments through the year. This team will also be responsible in supporting the executive members in the various tasks required on event day.

We require 8 class agents for the following classes of 4A1, 4B1, 4B2, 4B3, 4B4, 4C1, 4C2, 4E1.


& Reunion Executives for roles in Crowd Management, Reception Table Registration, Clearing of venue after event


Position Description

Class Agents
a. Collating names of interested classmates
b. Promoting to their respective classmates of the event and any further developments through the year.

Reunion Executives
Support committee members in areas of
a. Crowd Management,
b. Reception Table Registration,
c. Clearing of venue after event

Expression of interest shall be indicated through email correspondence at acsbr98@gmail.com. Applications will close on 4 July 2008 and allocation of designated persons to each role shall be announced on 7 July 2008.

The Team's Description

Position Description
Deputy Executive Chairperson
a. Documenting of minutes during meetings,
b. Sourcing and securing of venue
c. Sourcing and securing of catering

Financial Controller
a. Liaison with class agents on ticket sales (guest numbers collation), contact point for class agents
b. Settlement of all monetary issues with venue owners, suppliers for event, souvenir, etc

Creative Director
a. Programme and activities management and coordination, including and not limiting to, pre- dinner programmes, props and décor, emcee sourcing, before and during event program line-up and any other artiste lined up for the night

Operations Director
a. Crowd management on event day
b. Car control management on event day, if applicable
b. Reception table management for registration (name card collection for lucky dip)
c. Spear head cleaning up of venue

Marketing Director
a. Promotion of event to the invited guests through innovative ways, including and not limiting to, E-invites, email, Facebook, Friendster, SMSes, Blog (Publicity)
b. Promotion of event to sponsors for cash sponsorship or goodie bag items

Our executive committee will be responsible for co-ordinating the entire event from the planning stage to the actual execution of the 10th Year reunion itself, giving utmost attention to every single detail

At present, with the exception of the executive chairperson role, the other positions are available. Please take note of the following descriptions of each role and decide upon which role best suits your interest and strength.
